In collaboration with the GATE Institute in Sofia, I developed an Unreal Engine–based visualisation platform for district-scale scientific simulations, focusing on wind flow and urban heat islands.
My contributions included:
- Data integration workflow – designed a pipeline that connects simulation outputs from Ansys and GATE’s internal tools directly into Unreal Engine ensuring seamless updates.
- Real-time particle systems – built and optimised GPU-driven particle visualisations to represent complex datasets while maintaining interactive performance.
- Cloud deployment – implemented workflows to deploy Unreal Engine instances in the cloud, enabling researchers to access and interact with simulations remotely.
This project bridged advanced simulation research with immersive real-time visualisation, supporting GATE’s efforts in urban digital twins and climate resilience studies.
